Verify a certified lead professional
This index transcribes lists that EPA and Michigan publish as tables. EPA’s national firm locator is a search form, not a downloadable roster. We did not scrape it and we do not invent inspectors for states that only have that form.
EPA Lead-based Paint Professional Locator
EPA’s locator is the official search for certified firms (renovation, dust sampling, abatement, inspection, and risk assessment). It is a multi-step form. Some states, tribes, and territories run their own authorized programs; the locator points you there.

- URL EPA still publishes in consumer materials, which redirects: https://cdxapps.epa.gov/ocspp-oppt-lead/firm-location-search
- EPA FAQ: Where can I find a qualified professional to conduct an inspection?
Confirm the firm or individual is currently certified before you hire. EPA also maintains a list of entities whose certification has been suspended, revoked, modified, or reinstated; the locator page links that list.
