New Hampshire labs

Two paths are independently verified for private well owners through the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (NHDHHS) Public Health Laboratories Water Analysis Laboratory (WAL): (1) Homeowner Water Testing — comprehensive fee-for-service testing for analytes in private wells, with a full report and interpretation (WAL Program; contact 603-271-3445 / Waterlab@dhhs.nh.gov; 29 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH); (2) Home Owner Container Request via the NHDES DES Onestop HOBottles form (options include Standard Analysis, Drinking Water Bacteria, NH Well Water Test For Home Buyers, Standard Analysis Plus Radon, Radon Only, Arsenic Only, and others). The table below lists 9 laboratories from NHDES’s official labs-private-wells.pdf (“Water Testing Guidance for New Hampshire Private Well Users”; document header April 2026; PDF metadata ModDate 20 April 2026; lab-list footer updated 9/20/2024; retrieved 20 September 2026) that NHDES states serve New Hampshire private well users. NHDHHS Public Health Laboratories also appears on that PDF and is covered in the verified section above (not duplicated in the commercial table). Call before you collect water.
